Man, 34, dies after industrial accident at Eaton Centre

A 34-year-old man who was seriously injured after falling about 25 feet outside the Eaton Centre has died, Toronto police confirm.

It happened around 12:45 p.m. Friday.

The man was working on the scaffolding that lines the exterior of the Eaton Centre on Yonge Street when he fell from the second floor to the ground below.

He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating.
