Man walks into hospital after he was shot near Queen and Spadina

A man is in stable condition in hospital after he was shot in downtown Toronto on Tuesday night.

Toronto police were called to Vanauley Street near Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue just before 11 p.m.

When police arrived on scene, they found a trail of blood but no victim. A short time later, a man, believed to be in his 30s, walked into a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound.

His injuries are serious but not life-threatening.

Police have not released any information about a suspect.
