Woman shot in her vehicle outside Mississauga restaurant

A 18-year-old woman is in hospital after she was shot in her vehicle outside a 24-hour restaurant in Mississauga.

Emergency crews were called to Zet’s Restaurant on Airport Road, near Derry Road, around 1 a.m. on Friday.

The woman was rushed to hospital in serious condition. Her injuries are not life-threatening.

Peel police say the woman was in the driver’s seat when another car pulled up and someone inside opened fire.

At least one passenger was in the car, but no one else was injured.

Police are looking for two suspects.

The first suspect is described as male, black, between 20 and 29 years of age with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black Nike hoodie and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as male, black, between 20 and 29 years of age with a heavy build. He was lase seen wearing a black zip-up hoodie, white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses to come forward. As well, police are asking anyone who may have video surveillance or dashboard video of the incident to contact the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at (905) 453-2121, ext. 2133.
