Man, 28, shot dead in Mississauga

A 28-year-old man is dead following a shooting in Mississauga.
Emergency crews were called to Mississauga Valley Boulevard, near Elm Drive, around 9:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
“Upon arrival, police found a male that was laying on the ground, with obvious signs of trauma,” Peel police Const. Bancroft Wright said.
First aid was performed, Wright said, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has been identified as Shane Thomas of Mississauga.
There’s no word yet on suspects, but Wright said the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident.
Some witnesses have come forward. Wright is asking anyone else with information to contact police
