Man and woman arrested after violent Kensington Market robbery

A 33-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man are facing multiple charges after a violent robbery in Kensington Market.

On Feb. 2, the victim was walking in the Nassau Street and Augusta Avenue area when she was approached from behind by a man and a woman and violently attacked.

The victim was punched in the face repeatedly and robbed.

Police said the victim did not know her attackers and the incident was not provoked.

The victim was temporarily hospitalized for her injuries.

Stephanie Hussey, of Toronto, and Tyrell Williams, of Markham, were arrested on Monday and charged with robbery of a person with violence, multiple counts of fraud as well as several possession charges.
