Portion of Richmond reduced to one lane for TTC, road work

Summer is underway and so is another season: construction.
As of Monday, Richmond Street West is reduced to one lane of traffic between Church and York streets for TTC track work, watermain replacement, and road and sidewalk repairs.
The construction is expected to last until Nov. 30.
Construction hours on this project have been extended to include some overnight work and intersection lane restrictions on weekends, but officials say the most disruptive and noisy work will end by 11 p.m. each night.
To help ease traffic congestion, traffic-signal timing on parallel routes is being adjusted.
Commuters will still be able to access businesses in the area during construction.
Up until Canada Day, Richmond from Yonge to Bay streets was reduced to two lanes for road and sidewalk repairs.

But that is not the only street in the downtown core closed for construction. The entire intersection of College and Bathurst is closed for TTC work until July 12.
Also, Queen Street West between Spadina Avenue and Bathurst Street is reduced to one lane in either direction for watermain replacement and and reconstruction work. The construction is expected to last until Oct. 8.
Ongoing road closures
Gerrard Street, from Yonge to Church streets, will be closed until the end of July for watermain replacement, road resurfacing and bike lane and sidewalk upgrades.
Westbound Lake Shore Boulevard, from York Street to Rees Street, will be reduced to one lane except from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays when two lanes will be open. The closure, which is for Toronto Hydro work, is expected to be completed on July 27.
