Peel police have a male student in custody after what appeared to be a gun was spotted at a Mississauga school on Monday morning.
Father Michael Goetz Secondary School was in lockdown and St. Philip & Bishop Scalabrini was in a hold and secure due to the investigation.
The call came in around 9:30 a.m. from Father Michale Goetz school, Const. Bally Saini told 680 NEWS.
Saini said the student was seen with a weapon but it’s not yet known what the weapon was.
The school was immediately put on lockdown and police rushed to the scene.
The student was taken into custody and will face “firearms-related” charges, police said. No injuries have been reported.
Both the lockdown and the hold-and-secure have ended.
