Toronto woman arrested on Canada-wide warrant after violent home invasion

A Toronto woman has been arrested on a Canada-wide warrant for allegedly taking part in an armed home invasion in the summer of 2013.

Police say a man and woman forcefully entered a home on Harbord Street on July 30, 2013, and threatened the occupants with a knife.

Two people suffered minor injuries before the suspects fled with the homeowner’s wallet.

“A credit card from the wallet was later used to make purchases at a sporting goods store,” police said in a release.

On Friday, the woman being sought turned herself in to police.

Jennifer Mulumba, 29, is facing two counts of robbery, and one count each of forcible confinement and possession of property obtained by crime.
