7 injured in multi-vehicle crash on Hwy. 401

Seven people, including a young child, have been sent to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 401.
The crash, which involved three vehicles, closed the westbound express lanes from Kennedy Road to Highway 404 for about two hours.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 8 p.m. Sunday.
Paramedics say a young boy was taken to the Hospital for Sick Children as a precaution with a head injury.
Six others were transported to nearby hospitals with minor injuries, according to police.
There has been no word on the cause of the crash.
