Natrel milk recalled over spoilage concerns

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall of Natrel milk products because of spoilage concerns.

The CFIA says the products were sold in Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia and include skim, one per cent, two per cent and homogenized milk with expiration dates from Oct. 23 to 31.

Natrel milk was also under recall in early September. At the time the company blamed issues with it Quebec factory’s pasteurizing equipment.

A company spokesperson says the second recall is to make sure the problem is completely resolved.

Those who purchased milk that went bad before the expiry date should return it to the store where it was bought or contact the parent company of Natrel, Agropur Coopérative, directly for a refund.
