So you’ve got the Thanksgiving meal planned out, but how about the wine?
There are your classics like chardonnay or pinot noir, and you can’t go wrong with either, depending on your preference.
For those who don’t like chardonnay because of its oakiness, you could look for a pinot grigio or a Torrontés from Argentina.
Another suggestion, one that strikes the balance between body and freshness, is the Kim Crawford East Coast Unoaked Chardonnay from New Zealand.
Sparkling wines can complement the entire meal and why not think local? The ones from Ontario, although on the pricier side, are outstanding.
Look for ones from Huff Estates from Prince Edward County, Henry of Pelham’s Cuvee Catherine Rose, or Tawse Spark, which are all well worth the money.
Below is a list of Thanksgiving wine suggestions:
- Kim Crawford East Unoaked Chardonnay
- Kim Crawford Pinot Noir
- Rosewood Estates Reserve Pinot Noir 2010

- Vineland Estates Elevation Chardonnay 2010
- Toasted Head Chardonnay
