What a surprise!
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were married at Chateau Miraval in the south of France on Saturday, a spokesman for the couple told the The Associated Press.
The spokesman said Jolie and Pitt were wed in a chapel in a private ceremony attended by family and friends.
They obtained a marriage licence from a California judge, who also performed the ceremony in France.
The couple’s six children took part in the wedding, the spokesman said.
Jolie walked down the aisle with Maddox and Pax; Zahara and Vivienne threw petals; and Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers.
Some reports suggest the family will spend the rest of the summer at its home in the south of France.
The pair got engaged in April 2012.
