Police are on the hunt for a suspect they believe is responsible for two sexual assaults in Brampton.
It was reported that around 4 p.m. Wednesday a 22-year-old woman was sexual assaulted while walking on the greenbelt path, between Queen Mary Drive and McLaughlin Road.
Police say a struggle ensued and the suspect fled on foot.
Police believe the suspect may also be connected to another sexual assault of a 20-year-old woman that took place in the same area on May 13.
“We want to make the public aware of what’s going on, especially in this area,” Const. George Tudos said.
A command post has been set up in the area as officers search on bike and foot for the suspect. The K9 unit has also been called in to assist in the search.
Investigators are asking the public to use caution in this area by walking in pairs, being aware of those around you and reporting any suspicious activity to police.
