Suspect sought in Vaughan shooting

York regional police are searching for the gunman after a man was shot inside his car early on Thursday morning.

It happened on Convoy Crescent, near Teston Road and Highway 400, around 3:50 a.m.

The 38-year-old victim was reportedly shot in the arm, abdomen and head.

He was able to drive away from the scene, leaving a trail of debris as he travelled about two kilometres to a Longo’s grocery store parking lot at Major Mackenzie Drive and Highway 400.

Another person in the parking lot called police.

The man is now in hospital in stable condition. Police say he is from Toronto and they are trying to determine why he was in Vaughan at that time of day.
