4 arrested after weekend stabbing at Etobicoke playground

Toronto police have arrested four men after a weekend stabbing at an Etobicoke playground.

Emergency crews were called to the Rathburn Road and West Mall area around 6:20 p.m. on Sunday.

Police say the victim, 24, was playing basketball with two other friends when the four suspects approached him.

A fight broke out and the victim was stabbed several times.

He was rushed to hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Said Keyliye, 18, of Toronto, is charged with aggravated assault, drug possession and trafficking, and failure to comply with recognizance.

Crew Robson, 18, of Toronto is charged with aggravated assault and failure to comply with recognizance.

Mikail Alkithiry, 19, of Toronto is charged with aggravated assault, drug possession, assault and failure to comply with recognizance.

Sahardeed Mohamed, 19, of Toronto is charged with aggravated assault.

They were all scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
