Woman trapped inside Toronto Bay store live-tweets ‘terrifying’ experience

A Toronto woman who was trapped inside The Bay after it closed live-tweeted about her experience, prompting responses on social media that ranged from nostalgic to teasing to helpful.

Emily Keeler, a writer and the editor of Little Brother Magazine, was locked inside the store near Yonge and Bloor streets after it closed on Wednesday night.

Keeler, using her Twitter account @emilymkeeler, sent a message asking “Do I head to bedding for the night or?”

The responses flooded in, with one Twitter making a reference to Today’s Special, a popular children’s television program where a mannequin came alive at night. Another provided Keeler with the police non-emergency number, while another jokingly offered to drive his car through the store.
