Man accused of drunk driving after crashing into pole

A man is under arrest after he drove into a pole in Toronto early Sunday morning.

It happened at Bathurst Street and Bannockburn Avenue, just south of Highway 401.

Police said the driver hit the pole and took out the bottom part. He will be charged with impaired driving.

The area may be closed to traffic into the afternoon as hydro crews work to repair the damage.
