Peel police have charged a 15-year-old girl with second-degree murder in the death of a Mississauga man.
The victim, believed to be in his 50s, was stabbed on Tuesday. She was formally charged on Wednesday.
Emergency crews were called to a home on Rogerson Road near Mavis Road and Matheson Boulevard around 5 p.m. where they located the man. He was rushed to hospital where he later died.
The girl and the victim cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Police said Tuesday that there is a familial relationship between the two but would not elaborate.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
