Filming underway for ’24/7′ hockey series about Winter Classic

HBO has started filming its 24/7 series about the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Red Wings, leading up to the 2014 Winter Classic.

The first of four episodes will be aired on Dec. 14.

The network released some of the trailers for the show on Monday.

“Well I guarantee you it’s going to be boisterous,” coach Randy Carlyle says in one of the trailers.

He told the Globe and Mail the network has already given them “a taste of what to expect.” He also said “it’s a little different when you have a camera and a guy sitting on the floor in your team meeting,” suggesting he needs to limit his use of profanity.

With the series, Leaf fans will be able to get an all-access pass to the blue-and-white, seeing their favourite players in a different light.

The popular 24-7 series has focused on the Winter Classic since 2008.

The Leafs take on the Detroit Red Wings in the 2014 Winter Classic, which will be held at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Jan. 1, 2014.
