Man dies after Lake Shore Boulevard crash

A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Lake Shore Boulevard, Nov. 29, 2013

TORONTO – A 26-year-old man is dead after his car crashed into a light post while driving along Lake Shore Boulevard West Friday morning, Toronto police say.

The single-vehicle collision happened around 6:15 a.m., when the vehicle struck a post near the Boulevard Club.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Eastbound Lake Shore, east of Parkside, was closed for more than four hours for the investigation.

This is the city’s 58th traffic fatality of the year, surpassing the record of 57 deaths set in 2006.
