OTTAWA, Ont. – The most influential Parliament Hill politician on Twitter is not the Prime Minister; it’s multiculturalism minister Jason Kenney.
The company “media miser” tracked all Twitter mentions and retweets of federal Canadian politicians since the throne speech in October.
Kenney topped the list with just under four-million mentions, with Liberal leader Justin Trudeau coming in second with 3.1-million.
Next on the list are Prime Minister Stephen Harper, NDP leader Thomas Mulcair and foreign affairs minister John Baird rounding out the top five.
As for journalists, Maclean’s columnist Paul Wells easily beat all the MP’s to finish number one amongst journalists, with over eight-million tweets, re-tweets and mentions.
