680 Good News Report: Tow truck driver finds student’s lost wallet

TORONTO, Ont. – A Humber College student is thanking a Toronto tow truck driver for his eagle eyes, Thursday, after the man spotted her lost wallet on the Gardiner Expressway, near Highway 427.

“He had seen it and he’d actually gone back into traffic to get it after making a loop around in his truck,” Toronto Police Constable Clint Stibbe told 680News.

The driver picked up the wallet – which was in the Express lanes approaching the northbound 427 – and gave it to the first officer he saw, which happened to be Stibbe on his way to Humber College.

“He brought it to me for me to return it to the individual and it just so happens we’re at the school [Thursday],” he said.

“It was probably run over by about a thousand cars, if not more. It is looking a little bit rough, but for the most part, everything is intact.”

The owner now has her wallet back, complete with all of the cash and her ID.
