Torontonians share their affection for the city in the More Than Ford campaign

A new online trend aims to project a different image of Toronto instead of the one that is being portrayed in news headlines throughout the world, as a result of Mayor Rob Ford’s recent admissions.

Two Toronto art directors, Hannah Smit and Marie Richer created the “More Than Ford” campaign this Wednesday.

At the centre was a YouTube video compiled from multiple sources highlighting some of the events and locations that people love about Toronto. The video has since been removed from the site claiming copy right concerns.

Despite the concept video being removed, Torontonians have continued to spread their affection for the city.

A conjuction between a Twitter account and their website track the #RobFord mentions compared to #MoreThanFord to see who is winning.

Many Torontonians have taken up the trend on Twitter sharing their own favorite aspects of the city.
