Cement truck tips over, pins man underneath in Oakville

TORONTO, Ont. – A 34-year-old man from Guelph remains in serious condition after a cement truck tipped over, pinning him inside in Oakville, Monday afternoon.
Halton Regional Police were called to a construction site near Dundas Street near Sixth Line shortly after 12 p.m.
The driver was manoeuvring the truck to unload its contents when the truck rolled onto its side and down a shallow embankment, police say.
The cab of the vehicle was severely damaged, pinning the man.
It took emergency crews two hours to free the man, who was then airlifted by Ornge to hospital.
He was then airlifted to hospital by ORNGE air ambulance in serious condition.
Halton Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit are assisting the Ministry of Labour inspector, who has taken the lead in this investigation.
Police say the name of the injured man will not be released.
Dundas Street was closed to accommodate the air ambulance but has since reopened.
