Victim identified in Weston-Lawrence fatal stabbing

TORONTO – Toronto police have identified the victim in Sunday’s fatal stabbing at a west-end apartment complex.
Police and EMS were called to an apartment at 33 King St., in the Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue area, at around 5:30 a.m.
Leila Chandrapaul, 37, of Toronto, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police arrested Areef Khan, 34, at the scene. He faces a second-degree murder charge.
