Police looking to identify cyclist struck and killed in Ajax

Durham Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a cyclist struck and killed by a car in Ajax early Friday morning.

Investigators say the cyclist was riding a grey, 21-speed “Trek” bicycle across Audley Road, between Keywood Street and Bayly Street around 6:30 a.m. when he was hit.

The victim was not carrying any identification.

He is described as South Asian, approximately 5’11”, wearing a white jacket with a red strip, black t-shirt and pants, and grey running shoes.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Durham Police or Crime Stoppers.

Investigators say weather and road conditions are not to blame for the crash.
