Two women sexually assaulted in separate incidents in North York

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto Police are investigating two sexual assaults in North York.

In the most recent, police say a 22-year-old woman was walking on Bison Drive, near Greenwin Village Road, in the Bathurst and Steeles area, Thursday evening around 9:15.

A man approached her from behind and sexually assaulted her. He then fled the scene.

The suspect is described is 20 years old, five feet tall and skinny. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and a red and black hat.

A few weeks earlier, on August 7th, a 24-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted in a nearby area, closer to Yonge and Finch.

Police say she was walking on a bike path near Blake Crescent and Talbot Road around 12:15 a.m. when she was grabbed by a man and sexually assaulted.

That suspect is described as 30 to 40 years old, 5’8″ with a medium build, and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a red baseball hat, covered by a grey hoodie and carrying a backpack.

There’s no word if the two cases may be connected.
