Peel police search for 2 suspects in arson investigation

BRAMPTON, Ont. – Peel police are searching for two men they say were allegedly involved in setting three fires in Brampton, Ont.

A car was set on fire on Cottontail Road — near McLaughlin Road and Sandalwood Parkway West — at around 2 a.m. on Aug. 1.

On Aug. 7, another car was set on fire on the same street at around 1 a.m. Around 20 minutes later, a second vehicle on Oranmore Crescent went up in flames.

Two male suspects were captured on surveillance video using an accelerant to ignite the fire in one of the driveways, police said.

Suspect #1 is described as:

  • Black
  • 23-25 years old
  • 5’6″
  • 160 lbs
  • Wearing a white bandana, black t-shirt, black nylon, sleeveless vest, black shorts, and black Nike running shoes

Suspect #2 is described as:

  • Black
  • 18-20 years old
  • 6′
  • 120-125 lbs.
  • Short curly hair
  • Wearing dark clothing
