Taste of the Danforth: If you like meat on a stick and don’t mind crowds, head out to the city’s original street festival for its 20th year celebrating Greek culture. Japanese drumming: Toronto’s Nagata Shachu blends thunderous, primal beats with subtle, intricate rhythms in this showcase of the folk drumming traditions of Japan. Jerk Festival: Sample everything from jerk frog legs and lobster to the usual pork and chicken at this annual event featuring the spicy Jamaican fare.
