City hoping to introduce automated systems, online purchasing for ferry tickets

TORONTO, Ont. – The city is hoping to make some changes in the way passengers buy ferry tickets in time for next summer.
With the goal of avoiding line-ups, the city wants to set up automated kiosks and a website for people to buy tickets online.
The Globe and Mail reported the contract is worth $500,000 and is expected to be signed soon.
The city is also saving to buy a larger ferry.
