A man in his early 60s was taken to hospital after he was struck by a streetcar downtown Saturday evening.
The man appeared to be crossing Dundas Street East near Parliament Street using a walker shortly before 8:30 p.m. where he was struck by the streetcar and ended underneath the vehicle, Toronto EMS confirmed.
He was transported to a trauma centre in serious condition.
There has been no word on charges.
Dundas was closed in both directions from Parliament to Ontario streets for about three hours while police conducted their investigation.
