Sunday is the final day of June which is considered the busiest moving day of the year.
According to the last census in 2011, approximately 1.6 million families move annually, and around 13 percent of those families move in June. And of the families moving in June, a third of them chose June 30 to move.
In Toronto, that adds up to about 30,000 people packing up and moving on this day alone.
Dan Hopkins, COO of Two Men and a Truck, said there are several reasons so many people move on this day, including the end of the school year, the Canada Day long weekend, and good weather.
