TORONTO, Ont. – City staff plans to review bylaws for ‘cash for gold’ stores to see if there are ways to tighten the rules.
Councillor Josh Cole asked for the investigation and review, pointing out that there are an unprecedented number of gold-buying stores popping up in his North Toronto ward.
Cole says that many of the items bought and sold at such stores come from theft.
