8 flavours of Umnitza baby cereal recalled after 1 illness

OTTAWA – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said the Umnitza brand of baby cereal products is being recalled because they may contain the chemical known as mycotoxin HT-2.

Mycotoxins are produced by the Fusarium species of moulds, which can grow in a variety of crops and foods, including cereals.

The federal agency said eight flavours of the cereal have been recalled by its importer, Toronto-based Wonder Berry North America.
