Expanded recall of Vega protein bars due to undeclared milk

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has expanded its recall of Vega brand protein bars due to milk allergy concerns.

The bars may contain milk, but the ingredient is not declared on the label.

The recall was first issued on May 25 and covered the chocolate coconut bars, but now includes several other products.

The products have been distributed nationally.

So far, the CFIA said there’s been one reported allergic reaction.

Sequel Naturals Ltd., of Burnaby, B.C., has voluntarily recalled the affected products from store shelves.
