Body of infant found at Cambridge storage facility

CAMBRIDGE, Ont. – Toronto police have located the body of an infant girl.

Toronto and Waterloo police searched a tractor-trailer at a storage facility in Cambridge, after receiving information from executives of Oasis Clothing Bank Thursday.

Police located the body in a tractor-trailer. A post-mortem examination was conducted Friday, but the results have not been released.

The discovery follows an investigation that began May 23 when police were called to a Toronto hospital regarding a woman who had given birth but the whereabouts of the infant were unknown.

Following an investigation, police charged Angelica Spanidis, 25, of Toronto with first-degree murder on May 24.

Police said that family members have been informed about the recovery of the victim.
