Rolling Stones leave ACC fans with a feeling of ‘satisfaction’

The Rolling Stones were in town Saturday night for a concert, and the aging rockers put on a show that had the streets around the ACC buzzing.

The Stones were in town for their ’50 and Counting’ tour, and according to reviews the boys still had it.

“Nobody is sitting down let’s put it that way,” joked one fan. “If you are like 70 and you’re at the show because you’re a Stones fan, you ain’t sitting.”

Interestingly, even the Rolling Stones appeared to be aware of the ongoing activity at City Hall involving the Ford brothers.

On stage frontman Mick Jagger said he “wasn’t going to take any cheap shots at the mayor,” before adding that “we’re going to crack on with the show now.”

The show also featured students from Cawtha Park Secondary School in Mississauga who sang ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’.

The Stones will return for another date at the ACC on June 6.
