Canada's Wonderland opens Sunday for 33rd season

With major investments in live entertainment and a special water display, Canada’s Wonderland is opening for its 33rd season Sunday.

The park, which features 68 rides, including 16 world-class roller coasters, is one of the largest amusement parks in North America.

Featuring Leviathan, one of the largest coasters in the world, as well as children’s areas like the 7-acre animated dinosaur park, Canada’s Wonderland is major draw to the Toronto area.

This year the park will feature an updated live-entertainment line up as well as Starlight Spectacular – Illumination of Water, which will premiere on June 22.

The Starlight Spectacular will be a nightly show at 10 p.m. which will involve special effects and bright colours as the Royal Fountain moves in coordiation with a musical composition.
