TORONTO – Toronto police are looking for a thief with expensive taste — taste for a $26,000 bottle of scotch.
Police said a man walked out of an LCBO on Cooper Street near Queens Quay on April 7 with a 700-millitre bottle of Glenfiddich Single Malt scotch from the vintage section.
According to police, the man paid for a bottle of wine but left without paying for the 50-year-old scotch.
There are only 50 bottles of the brand worldwide.
Police released a security camera image of the suspect Tuesday.
The suspect is described as white, 35-55, about 5-foot-10 and clean-shaven. He wore a Burberry plaid shirt, brown hat, brown trench coat and black jeans, police said.
