Nervous teacher in Pittsburgh calls in bomb threat over fear of teaching class

A University of Pittsburgh grad student has been charged after police determined she was so terrified over teaching a class that she decided to call in a bomb threat instead.

The 34-year-old grad student was supposed to teach a ‘health and illness’ class, but, due to her ongoing anxiety and depression issues, felt unable to do so.

In order to try and get the class cancelled, she called in a bomb threat. After security at the campus did not cancel classes, she decided to take things further and left a note in a campus restroom saying a bomb was set to explode.

After students noticed the note and called campus police, the class was eventually cancelled.

Police traced the threatening call to the grad student’s phone and were able to get a confession from her.

Nancy Bruni, 34, is facing several charges in relation to the incident.
