Peel police charge parents of young children with gun and drug offences

BRAMPTON, Ont. – Peel Police have arrested parents of two young children, and charged them with multiple drug and gun offences.

Investigators said the 37-year-old father was arrested for possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Meanwhile, his 29-year-old wife was taken into custody a short time later, after a search of her car revealed a loaded gun, ammunition and drugs.

The Brampton couple’s two children – aged six months and 18 months – were in the car at the time.
