Driver in custody on suspicion of impaired driving after Brampton crash injures one

BRAMPTON, Ont. – An early-morning crash in Brampton could have impaired-driving charges pressed against a driver.

This after a two-vehicle crash at Rutherford and Glidden roads sent one person to hospital just before 3:30 a.m.

Police tell CityNews the driver of one vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle, meanwhile, is in police custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.

It’s unclear at this point if charges will be pressed.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
