Chicago columnist criticizes Toronto as 4th largest North American city

Chicago is fighting back after losing its status as the fourth largest city in North America.

In an editorial published in the Chicago-Sun Times, columnist Neil Steinberg implies that Toronto, which took Chicago’s fourth-biggest-city spot, is filled with “anonymous ciphers grinding through joyless lives devoid of charm.”

Steinberg called Tim Hortons “adequate,” says Toronto’s skyline is “nondescript” and adds “call me when you can make a decent pizza.”

The column ends with the writer saying “I’d rather be the 500th most important person in Chicago than the king of Canada.”
