Woman, 23, killed in crash in Scugog, Ont.

SCUGOG, Ont. – A 23-year-old Port Perry woman is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Scugog, Ont. Wednesday.
Durham Regional Police said the woman died of her injuries in hospital and a 42-year-old Blackstock woman suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Officers were called to the scene on Simcoe Street between King Street and Scugog Line 4 shortly after 7 a.m.
Police said a southbound vehicle lost control and was struck by a northbound vehicle.
Both drivers were extricated from their vehicles and transported to hospital, where the Port Perry woman was pronounced dead, police said.
Police said the identity of the woman who was killed is not being released at the request of her family.
