Ben Affleck thanked Canada as he accepted the best-picture Oscar for “Argo” at the 85th annual Academy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 24. The film depicts the 1979 rescue of U.S. embassy staffers in Iran — a rescue in which Canada played a key role.
Political affairs specialist John Stall spoke with the real-life hero of the Iran hostage crisis — former Canadian ambassador to Iran, Ken Taylor — about his reaction to the speech.
