Durham police have charged two men caught speeding across the ice on Lake Scugog on Saturday.

At around 3:30 p.m., the lake was full of pedestrians, people fishing and skating, snowmobiles and other vehicles.

Police said witnesses saw two cars doing more than 100 kilometres an hour on the lake, doing doughnuts and sliding sideways, police said.

Two men from Oshawa, ages 20 and 21, face dangerous driving charges.
