Toronto man wanted for aggravated assault

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police have released images of a 51-year-old Toronto man wanted for aggravated assault.
Police allege the accused man waited for a 62-year-old man to leave his house in the Birchmount Road and McNicoll Avenue area and assaulted him with an unknown object shortly before 2:30 a.m. Monday.
The accused then fled the scene, police said.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Wayne Banks is wanted for aggravated assault, threatening bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
Police believe he may have left Toronto and may be somewhere in Ontario.
The accused is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who sees him is urged to call 911.
