Kathleen Wynne leading race to replace Dalton McGuinty: Toronto Star

The Liberal leadership race may be in the hands of Kathleen Wynne, who according to date in the Toronto Star, is the only one of seven contenders with supporters in all of Ontario’s 107 ridings.

The preliminary delegate candidate data shows Wynne with 1,533 backers, compared to just over 1,200 supporters for former Windsor MPP Sandra Pupatello. Gerard Kennedy comes in third.

Up to 47,000 Liberal members are eligible to vote in this coming weekend’s delegate elections, which will select 16 representatives from each Ontario riding, for a total of 1,712 delegates.
