Blue Mountain resort to undergo massive village expansion

Resort operator Skyline International has acquired a $20-million stake in the Blue Mountain resort, and they have big plans brewing.

The operator intends to double the size of the village over the next ten years, with the Toronto Star reporting Skyline will build 1,200 condos, townhouses and detached houses within walking distance of the slopes.

Skyline will also add another 20,000 square feet of retail space, according to the Star report.

Blue Mountain Development controls the mountain and the commercial and retail operations, and some reports have suggested, with expanded capacity, they may look to expand the trails and terrain on the mountain itself.
