Brampton to offer programs for students during one-day teachers’ strike

BRAMPTON, Ont. – With elementary teachers in Peel Region set to stage a one-day strike on Tuesday, Brampton recreation centres will offer a one-day supervised program for children aged four to 13, the city says.
Programs, including games and activities, will run at eight recreation centres from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at a cost of $15 per child.
The city says parents must register their children first.
